Reflection
Two years ago today my Grandmother passed away. I miss her greatly, however, I am grateful that she is no longer suffering and is in a wonderful place. She was beautiful and an example of charity to all. I look forward to the day that I will be able to see her again. I'm so grateful for the plan of salvation and the peace it provides. I know I will see her again. I'm so thankful for forever families.

Welcome Dallas!
Last pregnancy picture. . .before we left for the hospital.
One Proud Daddy!
Family picture!
Dallas with his eyes open.
So, I will keep this post brief and not full of crazy details. On Monday I was very busy. I went shopping, cleaned up the apartment, wrapped our Christmas presents, and finished a couple of projects. Nesting if you want to call it that. I have a hard time sitting still on my day off.Later that night Justin got home after his final and had to finish up a couple of things for his last class so we did not go to bed until shortly after midnight. Well, at about 1:15 my water broke much to our surprise. I think Justin was about to have a heart attack he was so in shock. We called the hospital and due to not having the results of a test I had on the 2nd at my last doctor appointment they wanted us to come in. We arrived at the hospital at 1:45.
I was comfortable and doing fine. At 7ish am they checked me and I was only dilated to a 2. I knew at that point I was in for the long haul. My contractions were starting to get more intense and somewhat uncomfortable. They gave me some pain medication via my IV at around 11am. This helped for about an hour and then my contractions were much worse. I was checked again at this time and was dilated to a 5. Half way there and hurting. . I decided that natural child birth was no longer an option for me. As Justin put it. . . I tapped out at that point. Bring on the epidural!!! I don't remember much for a bit as I was just kind of spacy and content. My contractions we more frequent and closer together, but I was no longer in pain. At least I was able to rest and enjoy the rest of the evening. The next time they checked me I was dilated to a 9. Shortly after that they decided it was time to push. 35 minutes later Dallas Lee entered the world. He weighed 6lbs 11 oz, 17 3/4 inches long, and had a full head of dark thick hair!! He is so sweet and Justin and I are so in love with this little boy!!!
