Vacation!

Justin and I had the opportunity to go home for a about a week. Justin had just finished his term of school and my office has been closed. We took the time to spend some time with my parents and sisters. It was really fun to see Audrey's new place and see what she is doing with it. . It is really weird. I keep thinking she isn't old enough to move out! Then I remember that I moved out the same time that she did. . . so I guess now is the time :)

After watching the Beaver's football game at Audrey's place, we went to American Dream Pizza. . pretty amazing pizza! Love it! It was Justin's first time having it. .I think he liked it a lot cause he ate it for lunch the next day too and so did I. We also took mom and dad to Francesco's, a gelato ice cream shop. It was so good. I loved going there when I lived in Corvallis. We played games and played with the kids and just really enjoyed ourselves. It was so fun!

Justin and I were planning on going camping at the beach, but due to weather yuckiness. .we decided to just get a hotel instead. We saw a sign that said $59.99 for a night. . .we went in to get a room and found out that it is the oldest hotel in Lincoln City. WOW! It was definitely very old, but we enjoyed ourselves. We went to the outlet mall, ate at a couple of different restaurants, and went to a movie (we had the theater all to ourselves, crazy). It was much needed time and we had a blast!

I am so grateful for the time that we had to spend with the family and for the time that Justin and I had to spend time with one another. . It was a anniversary celebration of sorts. We've been together for a little over 3 years now. Yay!

Anyway, here are some photos of our fun staying at the oldest hotel in Lincoln City!

A few odds and ends. . .

Well, I haven't blogged in a little while. Things are not terribly exciting right now. I've been busy with work while Justin has been busy with school and work. Things are going well, and once again Justin's schooling has helped a ton in getting his truck repaired. He took the entire engine out of his truck a couple of weeks ago and replaced the clutch and some seals. So handy. He is glad that his truck is working much better now.

Work is going really well for me. The office has now started to see adult patients and it has been fun having the opportunity to see kids to adults. It has been good to keep up the skills that I gained while in hygiene school. I love my job. Each patient is always different and so fun. :)

Justin and I played on an indoor soccer team this summer. We only played in about 4 or 5 games. During one of our games I injured my already tired knee and Justin tore his calf muscle so we were pretty much useless for the team for the rest of the session. Hopefully we'll be able to get back into it. We really enjoy doing things together like this.

Call me crazy, but I have started working on Christmas gifts and am having a lot of fun with it. I would talk about what I am doing, but is a secret. I will say this though. I am very excited to give them away!!! It will be fun to see the reactions of those that I give them to.

I am really excited for next week. The third book in the Hunger Games series comes out on the 24th and I can't wait to read it. I may have to lock myself in a room for a day so I can read it quickly!!!

Anyway, I guess that is all for now!!

Oregonian

I love rain. . but the motto "everything in moderation" applies here too. I am a true Oregonian but, I think when June begins to look like January it is a bit excessive. Oh well, at least I have some homemade bread in the works and some homemade strawberry jam to eat it with. mmm mmm good.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day this year was very good. We went to La Grande for my Grandma's 80th birthday party. It was a lot of fun to be with the family. We spent some time putting flowers on graves of family members. It was good and difficult especially since we haven't seen Grandma Perry's grave since the funeral. It is still fresh. I love my family. I honestly can say my greatest memories come from being with my family.
