Life and Fun with Jay!

This last month has been difficult for the whole Kelly family. Justin's Papa passed away almost two weeks ago. Even though the circumstances were sad we had the opportunity to go home and be with family. It was amazing to see how much the family came together and supported one another. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Kelly family.

Under these sad circumstances Justin and I were able to make arrangements to take Jaylen home with us after the funeral. James will be taking him back home in a week. I thought I would post some pictures of the fun we have had together since he has been here with us. We went to the splash park here in town and Jaylen had a blast playing in the water and going down the slides. We also went to the zoo. Jay kept asking about the tigers and he loved the monkeys. I think we went to look at the monkeys three different times.

We'll post more about our adventures later!

Bad Toilet Luck

Justin and I have come to the conclusion that we have bad luck with toilets.

1.In our first apartment our toilet would run FOREVER to the point where we would have to jiggle the handle or take off the top to make the running stop. It got to the point where we had the maintenance man come by a total of 4 times just to fix our toilet. . . by the time we left our first place the toilet was in okay shape. Better than we got it at least.

2. At our new place our toilet was doing the running FOREVER thing once again. We had the maintenance man come and fix it. Finally, we thought we would have a good toilet. WRONG! The toilet worked well for a while then gradually flushing the toilet became quite a task. This resulted in me snapping the handle off. So for a night we had to take the lid off and look for the flushing part of the toilet. . sooooo gross!!!! The next morning a new handle was dropped off. Justin repaired our toilet being the wonderful plumber that he is. Unfortunately, he isn't a plumber by trade and the toilet wasn't flushing the way it is supposed to. Once again the maintenance man came by and fixed our toilet. Currently our toilet runs forever and will only stop if we jiggle the handle. . . back to square one!!!

Hopefully our luck will get better with the next move!

JOB!!!

I thought I would make a quick announcement! I got the job at the pediatric dental office!!! I will be working a half a day a week so all in all I'll be working about 2 days a month. That may not seem like a lot, but I still got my foot in the door and now have something more consistent!!! YaY!! I will be continuing to look for more work so keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.

The Search Continues. . .

Well, I've had the opportunity to temp in a couple of offices but no luck finding a constant job. I still have not heard back from one of the offices that were hiring a part time hygiene position. I've called a couple of times to check in and they are not returning my calls. . . I think I may have to pass on that opportunity.

I had a working interview at a pediatric dental office last week. However, I am not the only applicant. I checked in earlier this week and they said they still have one more interview left, however the receptionist said that she knows the dentist liked me. This position would be one day a week, but right now I would rather give 100% for them then not have anything. I should be hearing back soon. Pray for me. . :)

I will continue to work hard to find work. I just hope that hard work begins to pay off for me soon.

I will say that I am very grateful for the temp work I have been blessed with. Thanks to those offices I have been able to get my foot in the door and get more experience and confidence in my abilities as a dental hygienist.

Work! Work! Work!

Justin just couldn't resist taking a picture of my first day working as a dental hygienist. . so here you go!

Well, we've been here for a little over 2 weeks now and I still don't have a consistent job. I had a working interview at an office that fell through due to the office slowing down quite a bit making them hesitant to hire anyone right now.

After getting that news Justin and I went to Idaho Falls with some resumes. I ended up getting a temp position out of it. I have worked one day so far. It went really well and I'm glad I am doing what I want to do career wise with my life. I have three more days of work with that office this month. At least I am getting my foot in the door.

I had another interview at an office in Idaho Falls and am waiting to hear back from them. It would be a part time position.
